"Sketchpad" seems to have made a very big difference in todays computers. This is a program used in line drawing which in turn gave birth to new concepts such as dynamic graphics, visual simulation, constraint resolution, pen tracking and a lot more. "Sketchpad was the big bang of computer graphics."
Going to bits and pixels, Negroponte says a pixel is the molecular level of graphics, while a bit is the atomic element of information. The word pixel comes from the words picture and element. Another thing about pixels is that they need a lot of memory.
Jaggies,I remember this term from class, are those jagged lines in some letters and shapes. It has the staircase effect. From far or normal size in the computer, this is not noticeable, but once you keep zooming in and making it bigger, you'll be surprised.
